DUSTOFF War Stories

This page was established in an attempt to document air ambulance history. The DUSTOFF Association will maintain a database of information you supply. We invite you to post the details about the most memorable mission of your air ambulance tour. Please keep in mind that these data will be an attempt to document actual events, so keep the story as close to fact as you can remember. In other words, don't start it with 'There I was as 5,000 feet....'.

The stories may be from any era, during combat or peace time, as long as it occurred while on an air ambulance mission. You may send 'then and now' pictures of yourself by e-mail to warstories@dustoff.org or they may be mailed to Huey Huether, 110 Cedar Hills Drive, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624. All pictures received by snail-mail will be scanned and then returned if requested.
