Greetings, fellow DUSTOFFers. This has
been a fast-paced year both in our Association and in our Army. With the
threat of war with Iraq looming on the horizon, our DUSTOFF units remain at
the ready to serve our fighting forces with dedicated support. Please keep
our deployed servicemen and women in your prayers for their safety and
health.
Plans for the 2003 reunion are well
underway. Your executive council has worked hard to get the best deals
possible at the Marriott NW here in San Antonio so our reunion will be a
comfortable and fun time of meeting with comrades and their spouses. This
year’s reunion will be packed with events, beginning with the golf tourney
on Friday. The Hall of Fame wall and memorial pavers will be dedicated on
Saturday at the AMEDD Museum. Please make time to attend all our events.
Congratulations to our three new Hall
of Fame members, as well as our Crewmember of the Year, Sgt George
Hildebrant, and the crew from the 57th Medical Company, our Rescue of the
Year awardees.
It’s truly an honor to serve as your
president. With so much that’s great and positive happening in our
Association, it’s hard to imagine how much better it could be. See you in
San Antonio in February 2003.
DUSTOFF!
